Diocesan Mothers’ Union Conference Biennial General Meeting

The Diocesan Mothers’ Union Conference is a revered biennial event organized by the Anglican Diocese of Ikeduru to empower, inspire, and unite mothers from all parishes. Rooted in the principles of faith, family, and service, the conference serves as a platform for spiritual enrichment, fostering unity, and addressing challenges faced by women in their roles as mothers, wives, and leaders in the church.

This event reflects the commitment of the Mothers’ Union to support families, strengthen communities, and uphold Christian values in all spheres of life.

Date & Time:

  • Date: November (specific date to be announced).
  • Time: Opening ceremony begins at 9:00 AM, followed by a full day of activities.

Other Information:

  • Venue: Mothers’ Union Retreat Centre or a designated venue selected by the diocesan leadership.
  • Activities Include:
    • Opening worship and a keynote address by the Bishop or the Diocesan Women’s Leader.
    • Bible study sessions tailored for mothers and family ministry.
    • Interactive workshops on parenting, marriage, and community service.
    • Elections or appointments of new Mothers’ Union leaders, if applicable.
    • Thanksgiving service to close the conference.
  • Dress Code: Traditional attire, preferably the diocesan Mothers’ Union uniform or white for special sessions.

All mothers and members of the Mothers’ Union are encouraged to attend this spiritually enriching and impactful event. Parishes should ensure representation and prepare reports on their activities for the biennium. Registration details and conference materials will be communicated by the diocesan Mothers’ Union committee.
